I’ve always loved Korean cuisine. Kim chi and gochujang are staples on my weekly meal plan. Buok’s owner based most of his menu of of his mother’s cooking so it only made sense to bring her in for the shoot. To give the sense of authenticity in the cooking, we had her make kim chi from scratch and documented the process. We also shot every. single. ingredient. to show on his digital menu boards, all within 4 hours. The authenticity of these photos came through so much they won and Applied Arts award for lifestyle photography!
